This series is an impressionistic exploration of light and movement in the Sierra Nevada. I photographed reflections on still alpine lakes, letting wind-driven ripples act as natural brush strokes. Each image is a collaboration between water, light, and chance — a landscape translated into something dreamlike and painterly.
Inspired by the work of Pen Densham and Bev Doolittle, I approached these scenes not as traditional photographs but as shifting, fluid paintings. Subtle color grading and sharpening in post-processing help bring out the textures and tones already present in the reflections.
These images are crafted for large-format display, where their depth, detail, and abstract forms can fully come to life as gallery-quality prints.
